Regina is a visionary leader who dreams of making a difference in a life, one person at a time. Her passion for mission work and her answer to God's call to lead and motivate others to help the least fortunate, has changed my life and lives of other friends who have been willing to accept her challenge to give of their time, and of themselves. Without Regina's passion and inspiration I would have never experienced for myself what it feels like to personally give to the poorest of the poor in a small community in Nicaragua.

It has been a fulfilling experience watching Regina methodically lay a SOLid foundation, charting the course while setting a fine example of being a modern-day disciple. She makes the entire experience fun. It is FUN and delightful to give to others that appreciate your help so very much. Going to a place like Nicaragua, you can't foresee all possible obstacles. The most amazing thing for me was to see how she trusts God and allows God to provide safety and fulfill the missionary's needs. It is easy to see that missionary work is her most passionate endeavor. I see Regina's willingness to heed God's call along with God's direction as loving nutrients that have taken root, resulting in tiny trees that grow and make a small difference in this world by providing spiritual and physical fruit for those in a distant poor land.

She has set a precedence that reminds us all that nothing will ever replace good old-fashion hard work and most importantly - love. Also, I've seen how giving doesn't have to be large-scale. She leads by example showing how to make a difference, one person at a time. It has been such a learning experience, an everlasting unforgettable adventure, spending time with her, under her leadership, this has changed my life forever.

While traveling with Gina I've learned how answers come out of culture, environment, and circumstances and reflect the worldview of that area. We can see first hand the response of the world concerning that particular area. Americans have so much they could give. Because Gina urged me to take a look for myself at this one particular community in Nicaragua, I now find little value in so many American conveniences and wasteful indulgences. My perspective has changed, I much prefer giving than receiving. Through my experiences with Gina and mission work I now walk the Christ path with both joy and expectation. I find joy in giving and I expect my knowledge of the world around me to expand and my respect for other's lives to increase and change my life completely.

Through my experiences with Gina and mission work I now know there is such a thing as God's language. We can go beyond our human language and communicate beyond words with loving gestures and hearts as long as we have the desire and willingness to love as Jesus loves. I've learned that everyone wants a life filled with love. In order for this to happen, the effort must start within us. Rather than waiting for other people to provide the love we desire, we must be a vision and source of love. We must tap into our own loving-kindness in order to set an example for others to follow suit. Our attitude, choices, acts of kindness, and willingness to be the first to reach out will take us toward this goal.

Gina has often said, "the next time you find yourself frustrated at the lack of love in your own life or at the lack of love in the world, try an experiment, forget about the world and other people for a few minutes, instead, look into your own heart, can you become a source of greater love, the more love you give, the more you will receive."
